JAKARTA -- The heyday of BlackBerry smartphones and apps may be long on summit of in the ablaze of the world, but not in Southeast Asia's largest economy.
BlackBerry Messenger, or BBM, the messaging network built by the Canadian smartphone company, remains Indonesia's most popular messaging relief despite growing competition from rivals such as Facebook's WhatsApp and Naver's Line. Indonesia is home to some 60 million of BBM's 200 million worldwide users.
